Embedding images with your data

Every day i create images, bring them back to the computer, load them into a dated and named folder, they joy of digital image management.

Todays topic is about the meta data we add to each image as it it loaded, what do you need to add to help find the image in future ?, what is required so people know its your image ?

Using Camera Bits Photo Mechanic or Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom, a good caption should cover the standard journalistic 5W's and H (Who, What, Why, When, Where and How)

Caption Guidelines
When writing captions:

Use proper grammar and punctuation.
Use present tense, especially when describing action.
Use active sentence structure (use "the boy catches the ball", not "the ball is caught by the boy").
Capitalize the first word of each sentence.
Capitalize proper nouns: names and locations, and be sure to check their spelling.
Use spaces between words.
Avoid the use of cliches.
NEVER use all caps (the only exception is for abbreviations).
Spell check! especially location names and scientific names. You may also want to include those location names in the Location, City, State/Province, and Country fields of the IPTC metadata.
If you know the proper scientific name for a plant or animal species, it is a good idea to provide it; if you are NOT certain, do not guess; either research and provide accurate information or resist the temptation to add that information
